Our client is looking for a Project Manager to successfully deliver the strategic next generation hospitality management suite product. To manage the delivery the project, to plan and monitor risks, issues and progress of the work, to prepare reports for department and board level in line with requirements. To ensure that the delivery meets our clines quality, time and budget targets.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery of the next generation product project to the defined and agreed quality, budget 

and timescales.

Engagement, briefing and reporting of project with the relevant stakeholders.

Project planning and work scheduling in conjunction with the supporting business

analysis, product, development and test teams.

Monitoring of project progress within tolerances and contingency, appropriate

escalation of issues to the project board and agreement of follow on steps and any 

remedial actions.

Monitoring, reporting and assessment of risks associated with the project and the 

provision and recommendation of mitigation strategies as appropriate.

Application, running and responsibility for project change control.

Definition and application of suitable quality approaches and plans for project 

deliverables.

Fully empowered and has overall authority for the Project.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE 

Essential

Successful delivery of complex software technology projects in competitive

market conditions – e.g. multiple inter-dependent modules with sub-components for

multiple customers.

PRINCE2 practitioner or equivalent current competence qualification.

Experience of transformation projects.

Experience of board level reporting.

Knowledge of modern software project delivery.

Knowledge of agile software development.

Commercial and organisational focus; demonstrates understanding of overall

business and commercial issues facing company.

Commitment to results through taking responsibility, demonstrating a positive

attitude and ensuring quality is built into work.

Excellent communicator both written and oral.

Good presentation skills.

Excellent people skills with peers, seniors and subordinates.

Desirable

Experience of projects delivered using a diverse range of technologies that

encompass software production.

Hospitality, retail or similar customer focussed experience.

Software development experience.

Commercial product delivery experience.
